  • Lounge

Natural materials such as Swiss pine wood, stone and leather, combined with latest technology, promise you a special atmosphere with exclusive comfort.

You can enjoy a Nespresso coffee in the morning whilst reading the newspapers and in the evening share cheese fondue and white wine with friends until the early hours.

After a day of sporting activities you might want to put your feet up, listen to some good music, watch a DVD or the news. There is WiFi at your disposal for free internet access.

You will find relaxing sleep and comfort in the double foldaway bed, fitted with high-quality Swiss mattresses.

  • Kitchen

We make no compromises: The kitchen is fully equipped with modern kitchenware and dishes.

The induction cooker with two hot plates and an oven grill will arouse your culinary passion.

A generously sized kitchen cupboard is at your disposal for your own personal belongings, and you will find everything else expected in a modern kitchen in the other cupboards.

No need for you to bring along all the clothes you have. Be it sportswear, jeans or shirts – the washing machine/tumble dryer is there to get them all clean again, if needed.

  • Bathroom

Premium-quality and natural materials have been used in the bathroom.

The window in the generously sized shower provides it with plenty of daylight.

  • View

The balcony offers a beautiful view across the roof tops of Madulain towards St. Moritz and over the golf course of Zuoz/Madulain to the Swiss National Park. Here you can enjoy your fresh croissant and morning coffee or savour the warming afternoon sun lying in the deck chair.

  • Pets

Pets are welcome. No extra fees will be charged for the final cleaning.

There is even a foldaway bed for your dog. You can see it on the photo folded away, just next to yours.

  • Layout

The apartment layout is a model of efficiency and incorporates many handy space utilisation features.

  • Garage

The underground parking is bright and modern. It’s narrowness may require some skilled parking. Stairs from the garage lead directly to the apartment.

Location

Madulain is a village in the Engadin (Canton of Grisons, Switzerland), which enjoys a quiet and sunny location, situated between La Punt and Zuoz. St. Moritz and Pontresina with their cosmopolitan atmospheres and numerous elegant shops are only 15 km away. The house itself is situated on a gentle hillside on the edge of the village at an altitude of 1’700 metres above sea level.

  • Madulain

Madulain is the smallest village in the Upper Engadine. You can find peace in the midst of centuries-old walls of a cozy village center.

  • Holiday Apartment

Chesa Gravulaina is approached by passing through the railway underpass by the camping site. You will find the house on your left hand side at the end of Via Gravulaina, on the outskirts of the village.

  • Arrival

    Arrival by Train

From Zurich: SBB (Swiss Railway) Intercity train to Chur. From Chur with RhB (Rhaetian Railway) to Madulain – a most scenic and technically interesting route with its helical tunnels and high viaducts. Swiss Railway offers flight luggage services. Arrival by Car

Good mountain roads allow easy access to the Engadine by car or bus.

Mountain passes or snowy roads can be avoided by taking the motor-rail train service from Klosters through the Vereina tunnel.

Travellers coming from Germany might find it more convenient to take the motor-rail train to Landeck, Austria. The drive from Landeck to St. Moritz takes approximately 90 minutes.

Activities

The five holiday resorts La Punt, Madulain, Zuoz, S-chanf and Zernez belong to the “other Engadine”. These quaint, traditional Engadine villages border the Swiss National Park, slightly away from the main flow of tourists. They offer peace and quiet, warm hospitality and lots of charm and will not leave anything to be desired.
